Tip to avoid self-sabotage: Plan ahead

Yummy lunch salad! Made with what I had on hand. Try switching up ingredients with what you have on hand!

Tip: to make super fast and healthy meals, do the prep work ahead of time. This cuts out sabotaging yourself with fast but unhealthy options.

Many of you know that I soak my produce in a mixture of water and food grade hydrogen peroxide to clean debris and kill parasites. I do this ahead of time so I can do more grabbing then prep work when busy.

I presoak and clean fruits and veggies when I have time and store them in the fridge. My fridge is a bunch of grab bags and containers of ready to eat/use foods. (I do not cut the fruit until ready to use, and leave the kale on the stems until ready to use)

After cleaning the produce this week I shredded some cabbage and shredded carrots because I knew I wanted to use them in shredded form in salads this week.

I had also steamed some potatoes (which were part of my breakfast) and tend to make at least 1-2 nights of dinner options ahead of time.

This helps me eat the healthy foods I know I need to thrive and takes the temptation out of fast but less nutritious options.
