Stress and Disease

Stress impacts the body in serious ways. It also depletes vitamins and minerals that are essential for the body. In times of stress, increasing vitamin C and Magnesium is a great idea. It is very important for health of body, mind, and spirit to reduce stress where you can and support your body with good nutrition, supplementation and other calming practices such as yoga, meditation, laughing, music, creativity, getting outside, taking deep breaths, using essential oils, herbs or any practice that you find helpful.

A glass of wine in the evening is not a good way to combat stress. Use of alcohol and other substances further deplete vital nutrients and tax the body and detox symptoms causing more stress. Even if you feel more relaxed for a moment in time, you are adding more stress to your body.
